Effects of GeGen Decoction in Preventing and Curing Adjuvant Arthritis in Rats

    Abstract:

    To study the effects of GeGen Decoction(GGD)in preventing and curing adjuvant arthritis in rats.The results showed GGD(8.2,16.4g/kg,ig)could significantly inhabit primary acute inflammatory swelling and secondary in flammatory reaction by oral administration of GGD three days before modeling.And the level of PGE2 in joint fluids of secondary arthritis could also decrease.The results indicate GGD can prevent and cure adjuvant arthritis in rats.
