Study of Nourishing Yin Action of Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill in the Kindney Yin-deficiency Rats Induced by Hyperthyrea

Abstract:

To observe the nourishing Yin action of Six-Ingredient Rehamnnia Pill (SIRP),Thyroxin (ig) was orally administrated to rats for 3 weeks in order to induce kidney yin-deficiency model of rats.Results showed SIRP markedly decreased the heart rate,plasma viscosity,serum T₃ and T₄,copper,the ratio of copper to zinc,and the intake of water,increased urine output,body weight,blood sugar,pain threshold,Index of thyroid and serum IgG contents.The dose-dependent relationship was significant.SIRP showed significant nourishing Yin action on kidney yin-deficiency rats induced by hyperthyrea.
