Abstract:Objective:To compare the content of Paeoniflorin in Decoction Containing Four Drugs with Persicae and Carthami by different solvents-water and ethanol. Methods:We measured the content of Paeoniflorin in single drug Radix Paeoniae Rubra and group-drug decoctions by HPLC.Results:The content of Paeoniflorin in group-drug decoctions is higher than that in single drug Radix Paeoniae Rubra (P<0.01).In group-drug decoctions, the content of Paeoniflorin with ethanol solvent is higher than that with water solvent(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in single drug Radix Paeoniae Rubra between water and ethanol solvent(P>0.05).Conclusion:Different solvent has significant effect on soluble substances extracted from group-drug decoctions.
