The radical reviews the current station on prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis by chinese herbal medicine.Many studies indicated that the intervention and treatment of atherosclerosis by chinese herbal medicine mainly are characterized by the following actions and mechanisms:the regulation of lipid metabolism and balance between proliferation and apoptosis,protection of the endothelium cells,the inhibition of lipid peroxidation and inflammation.
