    Abstract:

Objective: To study the chemical constituents of the ethyl acetate extract from Ailanthus altissima. Method: The ethyl acetate extract was isolated by silica gel, and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. Their chemical structures were elucidated by spectral data. Result: Six compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract. They were identified as isovanillic acid (1), tetrahydropalmatie(2), aristololactam AⅡ (3), quercetin (4), ferulic acid(5), oleanolic acid(6). Conclusion: Compounds 1,2,3,4 and 6 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
