Abstract:Objective: To study chemical constituents of Periploca forrestii. Method: Many kinds of chromatographic methods were used in the isolation procedure, while the structures of compounds were elucidated by physical and chemical properties and MS, 1 D, 2 D NMR techniques. Result: Two known compounds were isolated from P. forrestii. Identified as 1-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl- (2S, 3S, 4R, 10E)-2-[(2R)- 2-hydroxytetra cosanoylamino]-10- octadecene-3, 4-diol(1), (2S, 3S, 4R, 10E)-2-[(2R)-2- hydroxytetra cosanoylamino] -10 -octadecene-1, 3, 4-triol(2). Conclusion: Two compounds were all isolated from P.forrestii for the first time.
