Objective: To study the chemical constituents of Melia azedarach. Method: The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by column chromatography, and their structures were identified by spectroscopic analysis. Result: Seven compounds were isolated and identified as isosclerone (Ⅰ), fraxinellone (Ⅱ), kulinone (Ⅲ), kulactone (Ⅳ), dubione B (Ⅴ), kulonic acid (Ⅵ), β-sitosterol (Ⅶ), succinic acid (Ⅷ) and 5-(hydroxymethyl)-2-furaldehyde (Ⅸ). Conclusion: CompoundsⅠ,Ⅷ and Ⅸ were isolated from this plant for the first time.
