Abstract:Qi-Luo, which carries Yuan Zong Wei Qi and Qi of internal organs and meridians, is a network path for movement of Luo Qi. Guided by the core theory of Qi-Luo-"Chengzhi Tiaoping", this paper combines the therapeutic principle of "collateral usefulness dependent on dredging" with time-space characteristics and pathogenesis features of Qi-Luo disease, and proposes ten therapeutic methods for Qi Luo disease -"dredging, tonifying, ascending, descending, strengthening, inducing, warming, clearing, eliminating and harmonizing". For stasis of Luo Qi, unobstructed Qi and Luo can be achieved by dredging; for deficiency and stasis of Luo Qi, it is necessary to tonify the middle warmer and dredge Luo Qi, for deficiency and subsidence of Luo Qi, ascending method shall be used for raising Qi; for reversal and disorder of Luo Qi, treatment shall be aimed at descending Qi and eliminating reversal; for Yang Qi deficiency caused by promordial Qi deficiency and Yang Qi deficiency, patients shall be treated by collecting Qi, recuperating depleted Yang, and improving reversal; for coma and blocking orifice, treatment shall be offered through inducing resuscitation and opening orifice; warming Yang and promoting the flow of Qi can be used for dispersing coldness and promoting urination; clearing Qi can be used for purging intense heat, and detoxicating is for dredging collaterals. If there is phlegm-damp retention, superficial vessels stagnation or collaterals blockage, treatment should be targeted at resolving dampness, reducing phlegm, dredging collaterals and removing stasis. Usefulness of collateral dredging to restore the normal functions of Qi-Luo mainly includes circulating Luo Qi, warming, defending, guarding, self-stabilization and regulating. Regulation is not only the general therapeutic principle, but also contains specific treatment methods of Qi-Luo disease, such as harmonizing Ying, Wei, Qi, blood, internal organs, Yin and Yang. All of these are often used clinically.
