Abstract:Objective:To compare the extracting methods of Jinlianhua evaluated by even-designed and orthogonal-designed methods.Results:The main factors to extract Jinlianhua evaluated by extracted yield and total flavones were 65% alcohol with orthogonal design method,and 65% and 70% alcohol with even-design method.Conclusion:The similar results were obtained by those two methods.

Abstract:Objective:To optimize the extraction methods of combined ingredients of Fuzhuang capsule.Methods:Dividing the ingredients into 15 groups extracted by semi-bionic extraction (SBE),determining the gradient elution total integral areas of Icariine,β-sitosterol,betarine,panaxadiol,panaxitriol,total saccharine,dried extract weight and absolute alcohol solution by HPLC.Results and conclusion:The comprehensive evaluation of the eight index showed that mixing herb Epimedii,herb Cistanchis,fructus Lycii and radix Ginseng together to extract is the best combination.

Abstract:Objective:To establish the quality standard of Shutong capsule.Methods:The content of main component,emodin,was determined by TLC scanning method,λs=440nm,λR=550nm.Results and conclusions:The average recovery and RSD were 100.3% and 2.6%,respectively.The method was available for quality control of Shutong capsule.

Abstract:Objective:To select the optimum extracted method of anthraquinonoids from radix et rhizoma Rhei by RP-HPLC.Methods:The main factors effecting the total anthraquinonoids,such as hydrolysis time,concentration and volume of acid,extraction times and volume of chloroform were examined by uniform design mthod.The data were calculated by UROS system.Results:The optimum extracted conditions:hydrolysis with 1mol/L H2SO4 10ml for 9min,extracted by 70ml chloroform for two times.Conclusion:This method was validated to show reliable and reproducible.

Abstract:Applying scopolamine and ischemia-reperfustion to establish murine models for Alzheimer's disease(AD) and vascular dementia(VD),respectively,might help explicate the formula mechanism of Danggui Shaoyao San(DSS).In comparison with the normal group,step-through latency taken by mice injured with scopolamine got shortened(P<0.01),step-through and step-down number of errors increased (P<0.05~0.01);Both drugs used to promote blood circulation and nourish the blood (DCS) and drugs used to nourish the spleen and disperse the pathogenic damp (FBZ) in DSS at low dosage,made step-through latency longer (P<0.05),decreased obviously step-through and step-down number of errors (P<0.05~0.01).If DCS and FBZ were in combination with each other,their cooperative melioration would be furthered;Compared with the sham operational group,step-through latency taken by ICR mice injured with ischemia-reperfusion got shortened(P<0.01),step-through number of errors increased (P<0.01),However,it was FBZ other than DCS that could at high dosage elongate step-through latency (P<0.05),decrease obviously step-through number of errors (P<0.01),antagonize selectively the memory impairment of ICR mice induced by ischemia-reperfusion,those discovery maybe indicated that to nourish the spleen and disperse the pathogenic damp played a more important role in the prevention and treatment of senile dementia than to promote blood circulation and nourish the blood.

Abstract:Lgustrazini(20mg·kg-1 and 40mg·kg-1) was injected to the conscious rat for 5min,then followed by ischemia 30min/reperfussion 120min,the incidence of VT and VF and mean duration of VT plus VF were decreased with a delayed onset of VT plus VF.In addition,the rise of plasma level of LDH,CPK and the infarct size was attenuated.The result indicated that pretreatment of ligustrazini might mimic IP with cardiacprotection on ischmia/reperfussion.

Abstract:The analgesia action was investigated in the pain model caused by formalin,and the content of NO,PGE2 and SOD of serum and spinal cord of mice with pain model caused by glacialaceticacid were also detected to study analgesia mechanism of Paeonia and Glycyrrhiza Decoction(PGD).The results indicate:(1)In Formalin pain experiment,PGD could restrain peripheral nerve twig action,and inhibit subesequent inflammatory reaction to ease pain in Ⅰ and Ⅱ phase reaction;(2)PGD could decrease the content of NO and PGE2 of serum and spinal cord of the mice and distinctly enhance the activity of SOD.

Abstract:The protective effect of Yangshou Dan(YSD) on central nervous system in rat with AD was studied.Y-electric maze was used to test the ability of learning and memory of rats,and inspect the content of monoamine neurotransmitters by fluorospectrophotometry.The results showed that YSD could significantly improve the learning and memory ability and increase the weight of adrenal,especially,the level of norepinephrine,5-hydroxytryptamine in hippocampus and cerebral cortex.It's suggested that YSD have the protective against the injuring in rat brain through adjusting the level of monoamine neurotransmitters in brain.

Abstract:It was studied that the mechanisms of Naoluotong on preventing and treating cerebral ischemicreperfusion damage rats.The cerebral ischemic model with Qi-dificiency and blood stasis syndrome was established to observe the level of nitric oxide (NO) in serum and brain tissue,and the activity of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) of brain tissue through chemical colorimetric method.The results show that Naoluotong can remarkably raised the level of NO in serum,and decreased the level of NO and the activity of NOS in brain tissue.

Abstract:It was studied on the active components of Herbal Antimissile Capillaries on the primary culture rat hepatocytes injured by CCl4 and the effects on contents of ALT.MTT colorimetric determination was applied to examine the activity of hepatocytes,and by another method,the content of ALT on the culture liquid was determined.The results showed active component Ⅱ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ of the herb could obviously increase the activity of hepatocytes injured by CCl4 and decrease the ALT content in culture liquid.

Abstract:The model of hypoxia induced damage in cultured vascular endotheliocyte cells was set up in vitro, toxicity was tested by MTT assay, effect was evaluated by classic pharmacodynamic criteria Trypan blue stain, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release,and MTT assay. The results showed the mortality rate and LDH release were significantly decreased to compare with the damaged group, (P<0.001), and the cell survival rate was significantly increased (P<0.001)in the protective groups of total saponins of Panax notoginseng and notoginsenoside Rb1,Rg1 and Re.

Abstract:The research focus on the influence of Naohuandan on the level of serum insulin-like growth factor-Ⅰ (IGF-Ⅰ)and lipoprotein metabolism in order to determine the mechanism of the recipe on neurodegeneration in the ovariectomized rats. The results show that the total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol of Naohuandan groups were significantly lower than that of control group; triglycerides, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and serum IGF-Ⅰ of the recipe were significantly higher than that of control group. IGF-Ⅰ between the control group and conjugated estrogen group had significant difference. The results indicate that Naohuandan could effectively regulate the metabolism of lipoprotein and serum IGF-Ⅰ to protect the neurons.

Abstract:Zhigancao Decoction is a famous traditional medicinal formula. At present the decoction can treat the arrhy-thmia in clincical practice. By using standard microelectrode techniques to guinea pig papillary muscle, Zhigancao Decoction (40mg·ml-1) and active component (1.36 mg·ml-1)could prolonge the shortening of APD50 and APD90 and reduced the incidence of triggered activities (EAD,DAD and TA) by histamine (200μmol·L-1).

Abstract:Effects of compatible application of RHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA on regulation of lipid metabolism, scavenging of free radicals and protection of vascular endothelium in rat with hyperlipidemia were investigated. It was found that compatible application of RHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA reduced total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride(TG), low density lipoprotein, which was obtained by single use of RHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA, respectively.Conceming scavenging of free radicals and protection of vascular endothelium, compatible application of RRHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA decreased the malondiadehyde (MDA) with increased release of nitric oxide, but single use of RHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA did not indicate the same actions,which suggested that compatible application of the two drugs can create a synergism.
