      2004, 10(5):18-20.

      Abstract (494) HTML (6) PDF 1.03 M (273) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Objective:To explore the influence of two kinds of active components from Panax notoginseng on NO and iNOS on inflammatory Metrorrhagia model of Macaca multatta. Methods:Eleven normal menorrhea adult Rhesus monkeys were choosed as research object, and were divided into model group (four),TCM group(four) and Control group(three) at random.Colorimetric method were performed to estimate the activity of NO and iNOS in of model group,TCM group and normal control group, the immunohistochemical S-p were performed to estimate the express level of iNOS in the endometrium of the three groups.Result:Compared to the model group, the activity of No and iNOS and the express level of iNOS in the endometrium of TCM gorup was obviously weaker, which are similar to that of the normal group. Conclusion:NO may be involred in the pathogenesis of inflammatory Metrorrhagia. Two kinds of active components from Panax notoginseng reduce inflammatory Metrorrhagia by regulating the activities of NO and iNOS and the express level of iNOS in the endometrium.

    • Effects of Active Fractions of Danshen or Sanqi on Platelet Adhesion,Aggregation and TXA2,PGI2 in Normal Rats

      2004, 10(5):21-24.

      Abstract (743) HTML (13) PDF 1.28 M (347) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:We studied the effects of salvianolic acid B(Sa1.B)、Rb、Re and Rg fractions of Danshen or Sanqi on platelet aggregation and adhesion,TXA2 and PGI2 in normal rats. The results demonstrated that Re fraction (68mg/kg)and Rg fraction (108mg/kg),given orally, could markedly counteract ADP induced platelet aggregation.Rg fraction (108mg/kg) and Sal.B fraction(48mg/kg) could markedly inhibit platelet adhesion.Rb fraction(112mg/kg) have no effects on platelet aggregation and on adhesion.Rg fraction(108mg/kg) and Sal.B fraction (48mg/kg) could markedly decrease the level of TXA2,but had little effect on 6-Keto-PGF. Moreover, Rg fraction 108mg/kg could decrease the ration of TXB2/6-Keto-PGF,too. The results suggested that the inhibition effects on platelet aggregation and adhesion of Rg fraction(108mg/kg) and Sal.B fraction(48mg/kg) of Danshen or Sanqi might be closely related to its inhibition effect on the release of TXA2 in normal rats.

Osteoporosis was induced by orally given retinoic acid(70 mg·kg-1·d-1) to the rats for 14 dasy. For evaluation of analgesia action, body wresting was induced by vinegar id injection in the mice, and hot plate method(55℃) of mouse was employed. Results Bone mineral density and plasma calcium were significantly increased for the dose groups of Fortune's drynaria zhizoma compared with the control(P<0.05).Analgesia action evaluated by vinegar induced and heat induced pain was also significant compared with the control(P<0.05).Conclusion The assemble flavones of Fortune's drynaria rhizoma have the functions of elevating blood calcium, increasing bone mineral density and analgesia action.

Abstract:Objective:observe the effect of Guben Zhike Gao on expelling phlegm, relieving coungh and asthma and resisting inflammation. Methods:The coungh-relieving effect of Guben Zhike Gao was observed by mouse cough model induced by SO2 and NH4OH with Capillary method. Observation on the phlegmexpelling effect was completed by using phenol red. Observation on the asthma-relieving effect was completed by inducing asthma with Ach-histamine method in quinea pig. The anti-inflammation effect of Guben Zhike Gao was investigated by implantation of carrageenin and cotton ball in rat. Results:The Guben Zhike Gao can prolong apparently the coughing incubation period and reduce coughing frequency;increase excretion of phenol red and phlegm from the respiratory tract; prolong the incubation period of asthma due to Ach-histamine solution and resist inflammation on acute and chronic inflammator models. Conclutions:The Guben Zhike Gao has the functions of expelling phlegm, relieving cough and asthma, resisting inflammation.

    • The Name of Hepatolenticular Degeneration Oppugned

      2004, 10(5):61-63.

      Abstract (790) HTML (1) PDF 1.22 M (254) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Disease name diagnosis is the core matter in clinical diagnosis of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The name of Hepatolenticular degeneration has a lot of problems from a scientific, standar dization and normalization point of view. Based on classical literatures, the authors discuss the shortcoming of the disease name and suggest to replace "hepatolenticular degeneration" by "Wilson's disease".
